BOOK ID ASSIGNMENT

The Group Buy Team has the responsibility to make the Book Id assignments after a deal has been approved by the Buyer, meaning the status of the deal must be Submitted for Group Buy Approval. The Book Id determines how the final selling price to the Retailer is calculated. The system also checks deals for Overlapping Reflect Date periods after the Book Id assignment has been completed. Refer to Check Overlap section of the Group Buy Guide for details.

Simply click on the drop-down arrow for the TPR Book and/or Group Buy Book to make your selection of the appropriate Book Id. When your selections are completed, click on the Assign Books button to make the selections effective for all Items included on the deal sheet.

Individual Item lines may receive a different Book Id. Click on the drop-down arrow for the TPR Book and/or Group Buy Book to select the appropriate Book Id. This does not affect other Item lines. 

Book Id Assignments are edited by the system as follows:

TPR Book Id codes N, P, Q, R, S, and T when assigned disallow the assignment of any of the Group Buy Book Id code assignments. Conversely, Group Buy Book Id Codes A, B, C, D, X, Y, and Z may have a TPR Book Id Code that corresponds with a Group Buy Book Id Code. However, it is not mandatory that a TPR Book Id Code be assigned in this case.
